Na Netflix mieri dlho očakávaný film Mank: Toto je 5 dôvodov, prečo ho musíte vidieť

Streamovací gigant Netflix vydá začiatkom decembra svoj nový originálny film s názvom Mank. Je to jedinečná príležitosť, ako vidieť adepta na Oscara, ešte pred vyhlásením víťaza.

Zasadením sa dostávame do zlatej éry Hollywoodu, teda do 40. rokov 20. storočia. Príbeh sa točí okolo Hermana Mankiewicza, ktorý spoločne s Orsonom Wellesom napísal scenár pre film Citizen Kane (Občan Kane, 1941). Podľa prvých ohlasov pôjde o provokatívne dielo, ktoré by sa, podobne ako samotný scenárista, mohlo zapísať do filmovej histórie.

Režíruje David Fincher

Pre mnohých zrejme stačí informácia, že Manka režíruje legenda strieborného plátna David Fincher. Jeho posledným hitom bol film Gone Girl (Stratené dievča, 2014), odvtedy sa šesť rokov s novou snímkou neukázal.

Ak náhodou neviete, kto David Fincher je, určite budete poznať jeho tvorbu. Medzi to najlepšie, čo priniesol, patrí Se7en (Sedem, 1995), Fight Club (Klub bitkárov, 1999), Zodiac (2007), The Social Network (Sociálna sieť, 2010) či The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Muži, ktorí nenávidia ženy, 2011).

Okrem toho, scenár k filmu napísal sám Davidov nebohý otec Jack Fincher, ktorý vznikol ešte v 90. rokoch. Režisér Fincher však až teraz prišiel s víziou filmu a rozhodol sa ho dokončil práve tento rok.

Talenty pred kamerou

Hlavnú postavu scenáristu Mankiewicz si zahral oscarový velikán Gary Oldman. Poznať ho môžete z filmu Leon (1994), Nolanovej trilógie The Dark Knight (Temný rytier, 2005 – 2012) či oscarovky The Darkest Hour (Najtemnejšia hodina, 2017).

Asistovať mu bude pôvabná Amanda Syfried, známa skôr svojimi komickými úlohami či Lily Collins, ktorú poznáme ako novodobú Snehulienku z roku 2012. Prvé recenzie hovoria o skvelo zahratých vedľajších úlohách.

Na obraze však uvidíme aj mnoho iných hereckých mien. Menovať môžeme Charlesa Danca, mnohým známeho z populárneho seriálu Game of Thrones (Hra o Tróny, 2011 – 2019). Za spomenutie stojí aj Tom Burke či mladá Tuppence Middleton.

Dobové prostredie, kamera aj zvuk

Film Mank má bez pochýb čo ponúknuť aj po technickej stránke. Fincher sa rozhodol vsadiť na čiernobielu kameru. Posledný veľký čiernobiely film sme videli pred dvomi rokmi. Konkrétne ide o Cuarónovu Romu (2018), ktorá zožala ako divácky, tak aj akademický úspech.

Z ukážok počujeme, že zvuk je taktiež veľmi výrazne upravený. Či už dialógy alebo samotná hudobná zložka prešli rôznymi filtrami, aby sme mali pocit, že boli zaznamenané práve v 40. rokoch. Podobný prístup k technickej stránke filmu sa dnes už len tak nevidí.

Adept na Oscary

Film Mank od Netflixu sa jednoznačne dostane až na najprestížnejšie udeľovanie zlatých sošiek. Jarné Oscary by sa mali niesť práve v jeho duchu, nakoľko je aktuálne najhorúcejším adeptom na výhru v mnohých kategóriách vrátane najlepšieho filmu.

Veľké množstvo filmov, ktoré o Oscary mohli tento rok bojovať, sa presunulo, preto má Mank veľkú šancu o nomináciu aj v kategóriách, do ktorých by sa inak nedostal.

Možno po rokoch uvidíme oscarovú žatvu v podobe viac ako 6 sošiek, ktorú sme naposledy zažili v roku 2016, keď bodoval muzikál La La Land.

Vydanie na Netflixe

Koncom novembra sa Fincherov Mank pozrie aj do vybraných kín, Netflix však vie, že kvôli pandémii veľa nezarobí. Od 4. decembra ho preto uverejnia na ich streamovacej stanici, ktorá je dostupná aj u nás. Titulky k filmu budú k dispozícii hneď pri vydaní.

Málokedy máme na Slovensku šancu vidieť najhorúcejších oscarových adeptov ešte pred vyhlásením nominácii. Tento rok sa však tradícia pretrhla, a preto by bola škoda túto príležitosť nevyužiť.
